Disappointed

My wife and I are huge Diana Krall fans. This show, however, was about as lame as I have ever seen. Unfortunately, it ranks very near the bottom. With so many amazing songs in her repertoire, her song selection for this show was way below par. She could have made this show so much better simply by picking song that people know and love.

We admittedly did not stay for any encores, but after seeing the show she put on, it didn’t deserve any. I didn’t want to sit through any more of what I had just seen.

One of the major issues is that her three-piece band did so many solos. Don’t get me wrong here. I truly appreciate their amazing talent, but I didn’t pay to be entertained by them. Diana Krall was supposed to be the star of the show, but there was nothing that made her really stand out from the others. Probably half the show was the band soloing.

As much as I hate to say it, I won’t attend another of her shows.
